The security guard's nightly stone-throwing attacks left large holes in the roof of the main building, allowing rainwater to seep in and pour down into the living quarters. Particularly affected were Jacobus with his bedroom, where rainwater dripped into his bed at night, and Billy and his family, who had to place buckets in their living quarters, like Jacobus, to catch the water dripping from the ceiling. Since these conditions could not be tolerated for years, the entire roof of the residential part had to be torn off by a roofing company and re-roofed at a time when the FIGU finances did not actually allow such violent actions. So there was nothing left to do but to knock on the bank's door and take out a loan by increasing the mortgage debt. This was the only way to pay the astronomical damage bill of Fr. 42,000 for the new roof. Durch die Luftund Pflanzenfeuchtigkeit oder durch Regen gelangt das Pflanzengift dann über die Keimblätter in das Innere der Blackenpflanze, wo es sich im ganzen Unkrautstock und in die Wurzeln ausbreitet und die Pflanze absterben lässt. Wird allerdings das Keimblätterherz der Blacke nicht genau getroffen oder regnet es zu früh nach dem Ausbringen des Sprühmittels auf die Blätter – die besprühten Blätter dürfen während drei Stunden nicht beregnet werden, damit die Chemikalien in die Blätterporen einziehen können –, dann war die ganze Liebesmüh vergebens und die Aktion muss wiederholt werden.) 	\| Die Kanzel war damals gegen die Strasse hin noch nicht abgezäunt, wie sie das heute ist, sondern von der Strasse her frei zugänglich, was dem speziellen ‹Freundchen› natürlich nur gelegen kam, denn es hatte sich für die Centerbewohner wieder einmal eine besondere Gemeinheit ausgedacht. Der Wachmann hatte nämlich Wiesen-Blackensamen (rumex obtusifolius L. = auch bekannt als Stumpfblättrige Ampfer, Blackte, Backete, Ländiwürze und Flackebletter) gesammelt, die er dann während der Nacht hinterrücks und heimtückisch säckeweise über den Kartoffelacker aussäte. (Blacken sind ein sehr schnell keimendes, äusserst hartnäckiges und nur sehr schwer wieder auszurottendes Unkraut, das bis in neun Meter Tiefe wurzelt und sich nicht nur über Wurzelreste, sondern auch über seine Samen rasend schnell ausbreitet, wenn sie nicht ständig unermüdlich ausgestochen oder mit chemischen Mitteln bekämpft werden. Die einzigen und wirklich wirksamen Mittel gegen Blacken sind chemische Mittel, die auf die Blätter gesprüht werden sowie ein Granulat, das mit einem sogenannten Blackengewehr direkt auf das Keimherz der Pflanze ausgebracht werden muss. Durch die Luftund Pflanzenfeuchtigkeit oder durch Regen gelangt das Pflanzengift dann über die Keimblätter in das Innere der Blackenpflanze, wo es sich im ganzen Unkrautstock und in die Wurzeln ausbreitet und die Pflanze absterben lässt. Durch die dicht wachsenden Blacken, die dem Boden die ganze Nahrung entzogen, fiel die Kartoffelernte natürlich nur noch sehr mickrig aus, dafür aber waren dann die FIGU-Mitglieder jahrelang damit beschäftigt, der Blackenplage auf der Kanzel Herr zu werden.		\| Die Kanzel war damals gegen die Strasse hin noch nicht abgezäunt, wie sie das heute ist, sondern von der Strasse her frei zugänglich, was dem speziellen ‹Freundchen› natürlich nur gelegen kam, denn es hatte sich für die Centerbewohner wieder einmal eine besondere Gemeinheit ausgedacht. Der Wachmann hatte nämlich Wiesen-Blackensamen (rumex obtusifolius L. = auch bekannt als Stumpfblättrige Ampfer, Blackte, Backete, Ländiwürze und Flackebletter) gesammelt, die er dann während der Nacht hinterrücks und heimtückisch säckeweise über den Kartoffelacker aussäte. (Blacken sind ein sehr schnell keimendes, äusserst hartnäckiges und nur sehr schwer wieder auszurottendes Unkraut, das bis in neun Meter Tiefe wurzelt und sich nicht nur über Wurzelreste, sondern auch über seine Samen rasend schnell ausbreitet, wenn sie nicht ständig unermüdlich ausgestochen oder mit chemischen Mitteln bekämpft werden. Die einzigen und wirklich wirksamen Mittel gegen Blacken sind chemische Mittel, die auf die Blätter gesprüht werden sowie ein Granulat, das mit einem sogenannten Blackengewehr direkt auf das Keimherz der Pflanze ausgebracht werden muss. Durch die Luftund Pflanzenfeuchtigkeit oder durch Regen gelangt das Pflanzengift dann über die Keimblätter in das Innere der Blackenpflanze, wo es sich im ganzen Unkrautstock und in die Wurzeln ausbreitet und die Pflanze absterben lässt.
