Mai 1944 am Katzensee bei Regensdorf, als mich mein Taufpate – er war Gefangenenwart in der Strafanstalt – zur Hinrichtungsstätte von Hans Gröbli führte, wo wir in versteckter Weise die Hinrichtung miterlebten. Der Erschiessungsort wurde dann vom Volk ‹Gröbli-Grüèbli› genannt, wie Bernadette im Internetz herausgefunden hat. Auf der Insel-Strafanstalt Imrali nun – auf der stets etwa 200–300 Gefangene waren, wie Asket erklärte – war es der ehemalige türkische Staatspräsident der Türkei, Adnan Menderes, der hingerichtet resp. gehängt wurde. Wie bei der militärischen Landesverräter-Hinrichtung am Katzensee, blieb mir auch dieses Ereignis unauslöschlich im Gedächtnis haften. Auch die Tatsache habe ich nicht vergessen, dass Menderes über seine Kleidung ein weisses Totengewand übergestülpt und ihm ein Plakat mit dem darauf verzeichneten Urteil des Revolutionstribunals angeheftet wurde. Also blieb mir bis heute alles im Gedächtnis haften, wie auch, dass er nicht an einem effectiven Galgen am Strang gehenkt resp. gehängt wurde, sondern an einem auf dem Gefängnisgelände stehenden etwa vier Meter hohen Dreibein, wobei er nach dem Hängen am Hals an einen der Dreibeinbalken geknotet und photographiert wurde. Es war ein schweres Dreibein, das oben in der Mitte aus drei miteinander verbundenen Balken bestand, teilweise Schriftzüge aufwies und so eine statisch bestimmte Konstruktion bildete, die dreifüssig kippfrei auf dem Boden stand. Asket, wie auch dein Vater Sfath, haben mir ja vielerlei Dinge von Geschehen vorausgesagt, erzählt und erklärt, die auch heute noch weit bis in ferne Zukunft reichen, wozu ich jedoch verpflichtet bin, über gewisse Fakten zu schweigen, und zwar aus mancherlei Gründen.
