But one thing is certain: religion is the worst thing there is, because it knows no bounds in its cruelty. When it comes to defending religion, there is nothing that the believer would stop at, because his religious fanaticism knows neither reason nor understanding. Murder and manslaughter, torture, flogging, massacres and bloodlust in hatred and madness are boundless. Everything is just an ill-considered lie when people talk about the love of God and such imbecility. It does not matter which denomination is represented, so it does not matter whether it is Islam or Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Zoroastrianism or one of the thousand other religions and sects of earthly humanity, which are obsessed with the delusion of belief in God or the adoration of a human being, an imagined god or some other higher fantasy figure. For the believing human being, it does not matter whether he worships a god, a goddess, some other fantasy being or a human being, because in his delusion – and such a belief is always a delusion – hatred, fanaticism and revenge and retaliation against anyone who has a different faith or who rejects the belief in a god, goddess, human being or higher might, etc., and only recognises reality and its truth. But I would like to say the following with regard to the fanaticism of the Taliban, who will now fanatically rule Afghanistan, which will cost countless human lives:
